The KC Animal Health Corridor hosts its Inaugural Investor Seminar in New York City

by Danni Hammontree | Oct 31, 2019

What better place to educate the investment community than in the center of the financial district in New York City? KCAHC, in partnership with leading industry organizations, hosted its inaugural Investor Seminar in NYC on September 26. The event was solely targeted at Life Science Investors, Strategic Advisors, Institutional Investment Bankers, Venture Capitalist, Private Equity Funds and Financial/Data Analyst.

“We have been supporting early-stage animal health companies with novel technologies that are addressing global issues for more than a decade. We are now taking our innovation strategies a step further by developing educational seminars in partnership with industry leaders targeted at the investment community. These seminars will highlight the drivers of the future, how to evaluate the ROI potential, trends and more.  To truly progress technologies, we have to continue to support entrepreneurs but also build strong partnerships with the investment community.” -Kimberly Young, Kansas City Animal Health Corridor.

For the past 11 years the Kansas City Animal Health Corridor (KCAHC) has led early-stage companies to success in raising nearly $430 million through its annual Investment Forum. Each year the Investment Forum continues to be at the forefront of advancing innovation in animal health. The event provides a unique opportunity for companies to pitch ideas in front of animal health-focused investors and strategic partners right in the global heart of the industry; as the KCAHC represents 56 percent of total worldwide animal health, diagnostics and pet food sales.

Designed to introduce the abundance of opportunities in animal health to Wall Street investors, the inaugural Seminar had four industry leaders presenting as well as connected investors to C-Suite executives and emerging companies. Chris Ragland, Animalytix; Spencer Swayze, Paine Schwartz Partners; Fabian Kausche, Stonehaven Consulting AG; Stephen Murray, Merck Animal Health Ventures- each covered major topics in the industry and  participated in a question and answer panel, before breaking for networking.

“To drive more investment, we must first educate the investment community. The Kansas City Animal Health Corridor shows, yet again, they are a thought leader of our industry by providing this opportunity to individuals. This beneficial event was the first of its kind aimed to advance animal health investments and I was truly impressed by the interest and engagement of the many attendees.” - Fabian Kausche, Stonehaven Consulting AG
