New members bring finance, accounting, marketing expertise to the board
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – MRIGlobal announces the appointments of Amy Nachtigal and Neal Sharma to its board of directors.
“We welcome Amy and Neal to our board of directors," said Thomas M. Sack, Ph.D., president and CEO of MRIGlobal. “Their business expertise and leadership are a significant complement for our board’s skills. We look forward to their contributions.”

Amy Nachtigal
Amy Nachtigal has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Saint Luke’s Health System’s (SLHS) Central Region since 2011. The Central Region includes SLHS flagship Hospital, Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City.
Since joining Saint Luke’s in 1999 she has been responsible for or participated in a broad array of activities including capital structure planning and implementation, acquisitions and divestitures. Along with traditional finance functions, Nachtigal has participated in the support of construction and facilities, information technology and materials management at the locations for which she has been responsible.
Nachtigal started her career in public accounting, working first for Arthur Andersen LLP in Kansas City and Toronto, Canada. After returning to Kansas City she joined Ernst & Young LLP where she remained until joining the Saint Luke’s Health System.
Nachtigal earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Kansas. She is a CPA and is involved in several civic and professional groups, such as National Charity League, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She serves on various boards including Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute, LifeFlight Eagle, and Medical Plaza Partners.
Neal Sharma
Neal Sharma is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of DEG, a full-service digital marketing agency partner for national and global brands.
Sharma was recognized as a Central Midwest Finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, a reoccurring member of the Kansas City Business Journal’s “Power 100” list of key civic and business leaders in the community, one of the “50 Kansans You Should Know,” and as one of the 50 most influential people in technology in the region by The Kansas City Star. He is committed to entrepreneurship and civic advancement, proudly serving as the co-chair of KC Rising, the Kansas City chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization and as an advancement board member of the University of Kansas academic medical center. In addition, he is a trustee of MRIGlobal.
Sharma received his MBA from the University of Kansas in 2001 after graduating cum laude from American University in 1998 with an inter-disciplinary degree in Communication, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government.
