Registration open; event brings industry together for top-level programming and presentations from emerging animal health companies.

KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 24, 2022 — Registration opens today for the KC Animal Health Corridor’s 17th Annual Animal Health Summit. Happening in person Aug. 29-30 at the Midland Theatre in Kansas City’s Power & Light District, the event brings together industry innovators for two days of networking, business partnering, programming insights and emerging company presentations.

The 2022 Animal Health Summit features the following highlights:

  • Women in leadership panel discussion: Vice presidents, CEOs and other executives will address the challenges and opportunities women leaders face in the animal health industry.
  • Do’s and don’ts from investors: Representatives from Barclay’s Investment Bank, Guggenheim Securities and more will discuss common startup mistakes—and what gets investors interested.
  • Sustainability in agriculture insights: Learn about the impact of protein production on the planet’s future, as well as animal health technology being leveraged to make a positive impact.
  • Emerging company presentations: Early-stage animal health, nutrition, diagnostic and technology companies present their innovations, offering a glimpse into the industry’s future and revealing opportunities for partnership and investment.
  • Industry awareness: The LIVE Leader’s Circle provides an interactive experience with top minds in animal health who will be discussing the industry’s most pressing topics.
  • Foray into the next frontier. A respected industry veteran presents his analysis, “Transitions in Innovation in Animal Health,” to provide a peek at what may be ahead.
  • 1:1 business partnering: Attendees can pre-schedule 20-minute meetings with strategic contacts and potential partners, based on a robust directory of who’s attending.
  • Iron Paw and Spirit of Service recognition: The Iron Paw award celebrates an individual who has made a significant impact on the global animal health industry, while the Spirit of Service highlights the heart of the industry and its willingness to give back.
  • Time for networking with connections old and new: Receptions and breaks provide ample time for catching up, making new connections and following up with prospects. (Note: The traditional Homecoming dinner has been replaced with free time to explore Kansas City’s restaurants or host a private dinner with key contacts and team members.)

“The strength of this year’s Summit—the extremely high caliber of speakers, panelists and companies that will be presenting—is only amplified by the fact that we will be together in person again,” said Kimberly Young, president of the KC Animal Health Corridor. “To have that many influencers, ideas and emerging leaders together in one room makes this event one-of-a-kind in animal health.”

Attendance is limited, and organizers anticipate a sold-out event. To register and reserve your spot, visit the 2022 Animal Health Summit registration page.
